Blazamut Ryu – #96B

Pve Overview.

Blazamut Ryu shares the top spot of the fire pals with Jormuntide Ignis.
It is also on the top spot for dragon, shared with Jetragon and again Jormuntide Ignis.
Blazamut Ryu gets +5 in every combat stat and changes the Partner Skill to Dragon from the non-variant Blazamut. The guaranteed passive is Eternal Flame, boosting Fire & Electric damage which doesn’t synergize with Magna Crush or the Partner Skill.
No access to Legend or Meteorain hurts Blazamut Ryus combat capabilities a bit. Small hitbox and not burning is a big win compared to Jetragon or Jormuntide Ignis.
The biggest drawback for Blazamut Ryu is the trouble getting good passives on it.
With not burning, resisting a lot of strong attacks and decent speed it was the go to rescue pal during Feybreak. With Tides of Terrarias burning beds has become a big issue and watering rescue pals have taken the top spot.
Overall, with the new Rescue system, Rainbow Passives and breeding exclusive attacks Blazamut Ryu has fallen slightly, but is still a top tier pal.

For base work Ryu is a great Lv 4 Kindling/Mining Pal, but getting Remarkable Craftmanship can be a very long grind.
