Ghangler is a very high attack stat water/dark pal that can carry but will struggle against some strong boss attacks like meteorain and beam slicer.
It is an accessible mid game pal strong against a lot of fire bosses, but the Ignis variant is a more useful end game combat pal.
Ghangler is a great base pal with Watering Lv 4 and nocturnal.
