Gloopie has trouble standing out among all the water pals added in Tides of Terraria and dark pals added in Feybreak. Smoke jet deals little damage on top of Gloopies already low attack stat.
It is a decent party pal to keep around if your playthrough will feature a lot of fishing, available much earlier than some fishing saddles like Whalaska.

Gloopie has good work stats for when it is available and is nocturnal.
