Moving Base

Moving a base or even building a new one can seem daunting at first, but with a few techniques it doesn’t take longer than 10 minutes.

The fastest way to make a new base is to build the structures you will need in your main base and then deconstructing them to transfer the materials you need into inventory.

If you already have a mining base and you are moving make one chest next to the Pal Box on the old base and your third base. Fast travel between the chests until the old base is emptied.

New Base:

Place your new Pal Box.
Make sure to have some handiwork pals in the new base ready to go.
Make the biggest storage you can in your main base.
Dismantle it. Fast travel to your new Pal Box and build it there.
Travel back to your main base, build everything you need for your new base there.
Dismantle it. Fast travel to your new base and build it there.

Moving Base:

Place two chests in your main base next to the Pal Box. Dismantle one.
Build a chest next to the Pal Box in your old base, the one being dismantled.
Move all materials from the old base to the chest next to the Pal Box. Tip: Use the furnace/crusher to start a job and cancel it to quickly gather all materials.
Dismantle everything in the old base and place the materials in the chest.
Once everything is gathered in the chest take the contents, dismantle the chest and fast travel to the main base.
Place everything in the second chest that you built in step one. Fast travel back to the old base.
Dismantle the old Pal Box, Travel to the new location and place it. Fast travel to the main base.
Build a storage chest, dismantle it and build it in the new base. (Place handiwork pals in the new base)
Move all the contents from the old base to the new base.
Rebuild everything.

Tips:

Use the crusher/mill/furnace to move materials by starting a max work order and canceling it.
Use the Grappling gun while over encumbered.
Use the build/dismantle feature to gather materials from the main base.
