Neptilius is one of the current top picks for both party combat and as a base raid pal. With top tier attack and one of the best exclusive skills in the game, boosted by Lunker Neptilius can deal incredible amounts of damage while still being decently taking and immune to burning.
Thallassonic laser is a great attack against big targets like Blazamut Ryu and Xenolord.
Neptilius is a great option both as a budget raid pal as a fresh caught pal with some surgery and as a maxed out army.
It is also a great rescue pal while putting out pal pods that are on fire.
The saddle makes it the fastest water mount for salvage.

Neptilius only has Watering Lv 4, not great for when you get it.
